Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council works with school nutrition directors and staff
across the state and offers grants to provide needed equipment throughout the year.
The cooler we received kept the milk very cold during transportation and the kids enjoyed having ice cold milk on a hot summer day at the beach! The grant was very much appreciated and allowed us to provide service in a much more efficient way.
The new cooler has been absolutely wonderful! Not only is it colorful and fun to look at, the students are now enjoying more icy, cold milk with their meals. Thank you, Maine dairy farmers!
Having the summer meals coolers helped us expand our summer meal offerings to students at playgrounds, libraries and public swim areas. We served an additional 958 meals in these areas. Thank you for allowing us the ability to feed more kids!

The addition of a smoothie station at our high school has been tremendous and had helped to increase breakfast participation. It has enabled us to offer a fresh, made to order, nutritious breakfast to students that they truly enjoy. It would not have been possible without the help from the FuelUpToPlay60 equipment assistance grant!
