Adopt A Cow for your classroom

Thinking about a pet for your classroom? How about a calf from a Maine dairy farm? The Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council is pleased to bring the Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow program to Maine classrooms this fall!
The Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow program is an exciting, year-long experience for your classroom. Throughout the program, you’ll get an inside look at dairy farming and be paired with a calf from a Maine dairy farm. You’ll find out what her name is, when her birthday is, where she lives, and how the farmer takes care of her. You’ll also receive progress updates, photos of the calf, live chats from the farm, activity sheets for your students, suggested lessons that follow Common CORE standards, and even opportunities to write letters to your calf!
And the best part? It is completely FREE!
Registration for NEXT year’s program is open now and closes on September 15th. We have many new features and opportunities in store for you, including an Adopt A Cow Portal where you will be able to access your updates with ease, dairy activities, tutorials, lesson ideas, and much more.
So what are you waiting for?
Sign up TODAY to reserve your spot in the 22-23 Adopt A Cow Program.
